An important lesson in always having a backup plan
Tanzania is famous for its black maned lions. In 2023, I visited for the first time, going in search of Bob Jnr, the most famous of all. Tragically, he was killed by rival males two days before I arrived and so my plans had to change fast. I spoke with my guide and he told me of these three brothers - The Golden Boys - so we spent a week with them. It turned out to be quite the backup plan!
